Engineering Operations Leader at GE Aviation
April 2011 - August 2013Reporting to the Sr. Engineering Leader, my primary responsibility was to drive operational excellence in engineering across the global power engineering team. Team consisted of over 400 engineers located at 6 facilities in the U.S., 1 site in Mexico, and 1 site in the UK. To optimize performance, I owned the monthly operational review process, collected and analyzed performance data and metrics to drive process improvements in NPI (New Product Introduction) execution, and provided customer support.

Design and Construction Project Manager at GE Aviation
August 2011 - August 2013Working directly for the company President, I served as the Project Leader over a $55M program with responsibility over the final design, construction and set-up of Day-1 operations of a world class Electrical Power and Systems Integration facility (the GE EPISCENTER). I worked with the Power Business Leaders to develop the facility technology and capability roadmap that aligned with business need and objectives. I managed the $22M Capital Budget and coordinated the effort to specify and then procured the Lab capital equipment in sync with the construction schedule. I applied my communication skills to navigate and leverage the matrix organization to improve project performance. I acted as the GE focal to University of Dayton, local media and government regarding all aspects of Project EPISCENTER. I was the primary interface between the Architect and General Contractor. I oversaw the complete construction from groundbreaking through Opening Day. Construction was completed on time and under budget.
